Job Description:
We're seeking an exceptional Senior Data Scientist for multiple locations to join our mission-critical team supporting our government customer in Sneads Ferry, NC, or Northern VA .

As a Senior Data Scientist, you'll serve as a technical leader and trusted advisor, bridging the gap between complex requirements and elegant technical solutions:

Core Responsibilities:
·    Architect Solutions, Not Just Code
Design and implement end-to-end data science architectures that process multi-INT data streams at scale. You'll build automated pipelines that transform terabytes of structured and unstructured data into mission-critical intelligence products.

·    Lead Through Expertise
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for advanced analytics, mentoring team members while maintaining hands-on technical contributions. Your insights will shape program direction and capability roadmaps.

Research, prototype, and deploy cutting-edge analytical methodologies. Apply machine learning, network analytics, and advanced statistical techniques to solve intelligence problems that have never been solved before.

·    Deliver Clarity from Complexity
Create sophisticated data visualizations and analytics dashboards that enable analysts to explore massive datasets intuitively, revealing patterns and relationships that drive intelligence assessments.

·    Drive Mission Success
Partner directly with customer stakeholders, understanding their intelligence questions and translating them into technical requirements. Your solutions will directly support critical intelligence operations.

·    Technical Focus Areas

o    Geospatial Analytics : Advanced spatial analysis, pattern detection, and predictive modeling using GEOINT datasets

o    Multi-INT Fusion : Integrate and analyze data across GEOINT, SIGINT, OSINT, and other intelligence disciplines

o    Automation & Scale : Build production-grade Python solutions that handle massive data volumes with efficiency and reliability

o    Visual Intelligence : Develop interactive dashboards and network analytics that transform complex data into actionable insights

o    AI/ML Applications : Implement machine learning models for classification, clustering, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics. The candidate must have previous experience in ABI tradecraft as well as the ability to produce finished products that adhere to NGA and DNI standards.

Required Skills:

·    US Citizen.

·    Active TS/SCI security clearance required to apply; must be able to pass a CounterIntelligence (CI) polygraph following customer indoctrination.  

·    High School Diploma and 10+ years of relevant experience; alternatively, a Bachelors / Masters degree in a related field of study or a combination of military (10+ years), experience, training, or certifications.

·    Proven track record supporting Intelligence Community missions in operational environments. 

·    Senior-level proficiency in Python:

o    For data science, automation, and analytics pipeline development.

o    With demonstrated experience in designing mission-ready solutions.

·    Experience:

o    Querying and integrating web APIs through Python to retrieve, normalize, and operationalize data.

o    Developing interactive data visualizations using Plotly, Seaborn, Matplotlib, Bokeh, or comparable tools.

o    Building dashboards and analytic interfaces using Dash, Streamlit, Panel, Tableau, or similar platforms.

o    Using Git-based version control platforms such as GitLab or GitHub.

o    Architecting solutions for large-scale structured and unstructured datasets.

o    Conducting multi-INT research and analysis to support operational requirements.

·    Hands-on experience with COTS platforms (Tableau, MATLAB, MapLarge) and GOTS capabilities for advanced statistical analysis.

·    Strong SQL skills and experience querying relational databases.

·    Proficiency with:

o    Geospatial processing frameworks such as GDAL or ArcPy.

o    GIS desktop software such as ArcGIS Pro or QGIS.

·    Ability to:

o    Write clear, concise technical documentation related to software systems and automated workflows.

o    Operate independently at a senior level with limited oversight.

o    Identify capability gaps and architect innovative technical solutions.

o    Proven ability to lead technical teams and mentor data scientists.

·    Familiarity with:

o    USSOCOM and broader U.S. military organizational structures.

o    Common Intelligence Community (IC) data repositories.

·    Demonstrated experience building, maintaining, and querying complex databases.

·    Deep understanding of intelligence analysis workflows and how data science enables mission success.

·    Exceptional communication skills—translating complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

·    Independent operator comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.

Clearance:
TS/SCI and willing to obtain a CI Poly.

Desired Skills:

·    AI/ML development experience with production model deployment.

·    Geospatial programming expertise: Python with GeoPandas/ArcPy, ArcObjects, GIScience techniques.

·    Full-stack development capabilities: JavaScript/HTML5, .NET, C++, Java.

·    Database technologies: Oracle, SQL, PostgreSQL, geodatabases (ArcSDE).

·    GIS platform expertise: ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Enterprise.

·    Background in building GEOINT, SIGINT, or OSINT databases for operational analysis.
