Tech - CT

Job Summary:
Performs advanced imaging examinations using computed tomography (CT) on patients across all age groups, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient safety. Supports departmental operations by maintaining equipment and providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Operate CT equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures with precision and adherence to protocols.
• Assess patient condition and explain procedures to obtain cooperation and ensure comfort.
• Maintain safety standards and detect any technical issues during imaging procedures.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to ensure accurate image acquisition.
• Perform additional duties such as receptionist or clerical tasks as needed for department efficiency.
• Document procedures thoroughly and ensure proper image storage and transfer.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program with specialized CT training preferred.
• Current ARRT (R)(CT) certification or equivalent required; ARRT registration accepted in lieu of graduation.
• Valid BLS certification.
• At least two years post-graduation experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to perform CT angiography studies including PE chest, CTA head, neck, abdomen, and lower extremity run-offs.
• Experience with radiography and CT equipment, with Siemens and Fuji familiarity preferred.
