Contract Logistics 1st shift Operations Team Lead - Union City, Ga

Overview Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel manages end-to-end warehousing operations, ensuring precision and efficiency in loading, storing, picking, packing, and shipping tasks. The role supports the success of the team and the daily operations of the warehouse and distribution centers, handling items such as delicate flowers and fresh ingredients for local retailers. Responsibilities Utilize manual or powered material handling equipment to unload incoming materials from trailers. Confirm and record materials into inventory by accurately scanning them into the designated computer system. Ensure inbound and outbound paperwork is completed and accurate with drivers. Transport and store materials within the warehouse using equipment, scanning when relocating items. Verify orders against documented lists, identify shortages, and resolve incomplete orders. Maintain inventory accuracy and support physical inventory counts. Oversee efficient unloading of incoming shipments. Communicate clearly, multitask, and organize efficiently. Provide leadership, training, and support to team members, addressing inquiries. Ensure adherence to safety standards and conduct audits. Qualifications Minimum 2‑3 years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. At least one year of experience in a leadership role. Must be a U.S. citizen. Attention to detail, thoroughness, and accuracy. Capacity to analyze and resolve challenges independently. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities with minimal oversight. Proficiency in operating power‑driven machinery. Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and wear required safety shoes. Experience in training less experienced material handlers and warehouse associates. Schedule Monday through Friday, 5:00 am to 1:30 pm.
