Magazine Grant Proposal Writer Pay: $17.00 Hourly. Location: 708 1st St NW Albuquerque, NM 87102. Organization: Fusion Theatre Company. Position: An Off-Campus Work-Study Position – Must have a Work-Study award. Work study eligible; 5-10 hours per week; part-time hourly position. Responsibilities Research funding possibilities and compile them into a formatted list. Create grant proposals and applications using a template and boilerplate language. Update proposal templates and boilerplate language as needed. Keep records of the application specifics for each grant opportunity. Write applications for funding in a timely manner. Perform outreach to organizations for possible funding and sponsorship opportunities. Build relationships with funding agencies. Research award opportunities. Assist with additional magazine or marketing responsibilities as needed. Minimum Qualifications Enrolled in a degree‑seeking program at UNM, at least half‑time (6 hours) for fall and spring semesters (audit hours do not count), and if on Work Study, meet Satisfactory Academic Progress. Preferred Qualifications Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Independent time management skills. Strong copywriting and proof‑reading skills. Willingness to work individually and as part of a group. Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively. Interest in learning about the roles and tasks related to grant and proposal writing. Tech savvy. Previous experience with grant and proposal writing (work or classes). Previous experience with grant application processes. Preliminary knowledge of funding sources. Knowledge of different writing conventions and their applications. Previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
