Azure Data Engineer With Power BI
Power BI Developer with a strong focus on Data Engineering and Reporting solutions to support enterprise data initiatives.
This role combines hands-on data engineering and ETL development with business intelligence and power BI reporting delivery, ensuring that business stakeholders have timely and accurate insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Power BI & Reporting Development
- Design, develop, and publish Power BI dashboards, paginated reports, and self-service datasets.
- Implement data models (star schema, snowflake, data marts) tailored for reporting.
- Create reusable DAX measures, Power Query (M) transformations, and semantic layers.
- Ensure reports and dashboards follow governance, security, and performance best practices.
- Support business teams with ad-hoc analysis and report automation.
- Data Engineering & Integration
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to load and transform data into data warehouses.
- Work with onsite data architects and engineers to ensure data quality, consistency, and performance.
- Build optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to support reporting and analytics needs.
- Support integration of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data into reporting environments.
- Collaboration & Offshore Delivery
- Work closely with onsite leads, data architects, and business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Provide status updates, documentation, and knowledge transfer to ensure alignment with enterprise BI initiatives.
- Collaborate with offshore team members to maintain consistent coding standards and best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and automation of reporting workflows.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- 6–9 years of experience in Data Engineering & Business Intelligence.
- Strong hands-on skills in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, Power BI Service).
