Program Director, Financial Wellness Initiative

Position Summary The full‑time Program Director will lead the School of Business Financial Wellness Initiative, "Investing for the Future" . The initiative equips students with foundational knowledge in personal finance, investing, and long‑term wealth building, with a focus on advancing social and economic mobility. The role combines program leadership with instructional responsibilities, overseeing program strategy, operations, and partnerships while contributing to teaching and curriculum development related to personal finance. Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of the Financial Wellness Initiative’s strategic plans. Manage day‑to‑day operations, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation. Build and maintain partnerships with internal faculty, external organizations, and community stakeholders. Design and deliver instruction and training materials on personal finance and related topics. Contribute to accreditation and Assurance of Learning processes as required. Collaborate with the Dean, Associate Deans, and the Assistant Dean of Student Success to integrate the initiative into broader university goals. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in financial advisory, wealth management, or a related industry. Demonstrated ability to teach or train individuals in personal finance or related topics. Experience managing programs, projects, or operations. Strong knowledge of personal finance, investing, and financial markets. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Prior teaching experience in higher education. Professional certifications such as CFP, CFA, or similar. Experience working with diverse and underserved student populations. Work Days / Hours 40 hours per week; minimum of 4 days in person, with one day potentially remote, depending on program needs. Salary & Benefits Starting annual salary of $74,232 – $76,500, with potential for negotiation based on experience and budget. Benefits include 95% premium paid healthcare , a generous retirement and vacation package, and reduced tuition rates for the employee, spouse, or dependent at any Oregon University System schools.
