Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Our client, a major seafood processing company, is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to provide administrative and clerical support for warehouse operations at their Bridgeton, NJ location. This role involves maintaining inventory records, processing shipping and receiving documents, coordinating with warehouse staff and drivers, and ensuring accurate data entry and recordkeeping.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation.
• Enter data into warehouse management systems and spreadsheets.
• Prepare bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, and delivery records.
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel, drivers, vendors, and customers.
• Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries related to warehouse operations.
• Monitor inventory records and assist with cycle counts and stock reconciliation.
• Schedule shipments and track deliveries.
• File and organize warehouse records and reports.
• Assist with payroll, attendance tracking, and employee documentation as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and recordkeeping procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with data entry, recordkeeping, and inventory management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good problem-solving, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous clerical, administrative, warehouse, or logistics experience.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
