Registered Nurse - Adult Surgical Unit

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. Every other weekend and holiday is required.

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses for our Adult Surgical Unit, which also accommodates a few pediatric patient beds. The ideal candidates will be skilled in providing care in a fast-paced environment, working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process in caring for patients and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing techniques and standards.
• Document patient care according to standards of care.
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care as prescribed by a physician.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and shared governance within the unit.
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to support the patient's longitudinal plan of care.
• Utilize critical thinking and escalate safety or experience concerns appropriately.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in Wisconsin.
• Current NIHSS certification.
• Basic Life Support (CPR/BLS) certification.
• Education verification required.
