Overview Openings as of 7/19/2026 Costume Designer Position Type: Performing Arts / Variety of Positions Date Posted: 7/12/2026 Location: Gloucester County Institute of Technology Date Available: 08/01/2026 Closing Date: 07/24/2026 Qualifications Certificated Staff Description Responsible for the visual appearance of the actors, including clothing, shoes, hats, purses, canes, parasols, jewelry, wigs, makeup, etc., as well as what is not visible (corsets, hoops, boning, character elements such as padded stomachs, etc.). Collaborate with the director on the vision for character costumes. Acquire needed costumes through building, renting, borrowing, or buying. Measure students for proper fittings. Create costume tracking for each character. Dry clean or wash all articles of clothing before returning during strike. Attend technical rehearsals to ensure all pieces work for the actors.
