Position Overview The Emergency Support Officer (ESO) is a key member of our operations team, providing rapid-response coverage for open shifts, call-offs, and urgent security needs across multiple client sites. This role is ideal for individuals who are: Flexible and reliable Strong in customer service Looking to grow into long-term opportunities with Armorous As an ESO, you’ll gain exposure to a variety of assignments while playing a critical role in maintaining service continuity for our clients. Schedule & Availability On-call / as-needed position All shifts available : day, swing, and graveyard Must be open to weekdays, weekends, and holidays Ability to respond to short-notice assignments is strongly preferred Key Responsibilities Provide professional security presence across a variety of client sites Follow all site-specific post orders and company policies Monitor for suspicious activity, hazards, and safety concerns Control access points and perform patrols as required Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies appropriately De-escalate situations while maintaining professionalism Communicate clearly with Operations regarding site updates and issues Complete accurate and timely activity and incident reports Maintain proper uniform, grooming, and compliance standards Valid BSIS Guard Card (required) Ability to provide 40 hours of BSIS training certifications Initial 8-Hour Guard Card training Certificate 32-Hours of Continued Education Strong communication and customer service skills Reliable transportation and ability to travel between sites Comfortable working independently in new or unfamiliar environments Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure Must pass a background check in accordance with applicable laws Preferred Qualifications Prior security experience or similar role Physical Requirements Ability to stand or walk for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, kneeling, and climbing Maintain alertness and awareness for extended periods ESOs must work a minimum of three (3) shifts per calendar quarter to remain active (unless otherwise approved) Shifts are not guaranteed and are based on operational needs Officers must be able to report to various locations with minimal notice Why Armorous?
