Senior Pastor

Central Holston Christian Church in Bristol TN is seeking a full‑time senior pastor to lead the church into a new era of growth and service, following the retirement of their pastor of 19 years. Established in 1909, CHCC has long been an integral part of the community and remains committed to spreading God’s word and serving the surrounding area. CHCC is located along the Holston River at 261 Sand Bar Road. A bachelor’s degree inMinistry, Bible, Preaching, or similar areas is preferable and post‑graduate degree or work is a plus, along with at least 3 years of ministry experience. However, otherequivalent qualifications will also be taken into consideration. CHCC is within close proximity to Milligan University and Emannuel Christian Seminary and maintains a close relationship with both. Continuing education would be encouraged if deemed appropriate. The church currently has a part time secretary and a part time worship director. Other leaders of the church include 7 elders and several deacons who are actively serving. There is also a high degree of dedication and commitment among the members who want to see their church grow. This church family is eager to welcome a new pastor who will lead, love, and guide them into a new chapter. The church has several children, teens, and young families and is financially sound. Recently completed is a beautiful facility for retreats, community events, youth activities, and much more. The main duties of the new pastor include preaching, teaching, overseeing staff, leading in the pastoral care of congregation, equipping members for ministry, loving the church, and leading in outreach, as well as participating in the general oversight of the church. This position has much to offer to a qualified candidate. This position can include the use of the beautiful, remodeled, on‑site parsonage or is also free to live in his own home. The range of salary is $50,000-60,000 commensurate with experience and education.
