Step into an impactful role supporting student success and well-being as a School Psychologist in a collaborative educational environment. This contract opportunity, based near New York, NY, is for a leave coverage position from August through November 4th. You’ll have the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and contribute your expertise to a supportive school setting.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working in school settings, preferably K-12
- Strong understanding of educational testing, assessments, and interventions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to write and interpret psychoeducational reports
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for students
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop IEPs and other student support plans
- Provide social-emotional and behavioral interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student needs
- Offer consultation services and crisis intervention as needed
- Maintain thorough, accurate documentation and records
- Promote positive learning environments and advocate for students’ mental health
