The role requires a comprehensive understanding of various massage techniques and the ability to skillfully manipulate the bodys soft tissues and joints through appropriate pressure application. The Massage Therapist will prioritize client comfort and satisfaction, ensuring that each session is tailored to individual needs. With a focus on high-quality service and attention to detail, this role will contribute to creating a tranquil and relaxing environment that enhances the overall wellness experience for our members./ppReporting Structure: Reports to the Spa Manager or Sports Club Director/ppDay to Day:/pulliPerform a variety of massage techniques, including deep tissue, hot stone, sports, tailored to member/guest needs./liliProvide consultations to members/guests to understand their needs, preferences, and recommend appropriate aftercare./liliEnsure a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere for all members/guests, delivering outstanding customer service./liliKeep accurate records of member/guest preferences and history for future reference./liliStay updated on industry trends, continuing education, and participate in regular training and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge./liliPromote spa services and specials through active participation in marketing and member engagement efforts./liliMaintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment by following spa hygiene standards and preparing treatment rooms between appointments./liliFollow health, safety, and sanitation protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of both clients and staff./liliCollaborate with other spa team members to provide a seamless and holistic wellness experience for club members and guests./li/ulpAdditional Duties:/pulliDue to the dynamic nature of the club, employees are expected to assist others as needed and take on additional tasks as assigned by management./liliFollow all company, club, and department policies, procedures, and instructions./liliMaintain a high level of professionalism and a commitment to excellence in interactions with members, colleagues, and staff./liliFollow safe working practices, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and encouraging others to do the same./liliTake the initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain any required certifications relevant to your role./liliAddress and resolve challenges using available resources, working with regional and corporate teams to support club operations./liliAttend daily briefings and actively engage in required activities to stay informed and contribute to the teams success./li/ulpAbout You Required:/pulliA high school diploma or equivalent./liliCompletion of a recognized massage therapy program from an accredited institution, which usually includes both theoretical and practical training./liliA valid state massage therapy license or certification, as per local regulations./liliA minimum of 1 year of experience working in a resort, country club, or high-end spa./liliA minimum of 1 year of experience in various massage techniques, such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports, or therapeutic massage./liliStrong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, particularly in relation to soft tissue manipulation./li/ulpPreferred:/pulliExcellent communication skills to effectively assess clients needs and preferences./liliA strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming environment for clients./liliGood physical stamina and strength to perform massages over extended periods./liliA caring and empathetic demeanor to foster trust and comfort with clients./li/ulpPhysical Requirements:/pulliFrequent sitting, standing, massaging, and walking./liliOccasional exposure to temperature changes, dust, fumes, chemicals, or gases./liliSquatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, and bending./liliTalking, hearing, and seeing./li/ulpPrimary Tools/Equipment:/pulliHands/liliMassage table/liliOils/lotions/liliLinens/towels/liliMassage tools such as headrest, pillow, music, etc./li/ulpWork Schedule:/pulliAdherence to attendance requirements as outlined in the weekly schedule./liliFlexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet position deadlines./liliAvailability to work on weekends and/or holidays as required./li/ulpWhat We Offer:/ppWe believe in taking care of our team, and our Total Rewards package reflects that commitment.
