Information System Security OfficerWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to join our cybersecurity team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the security posture of information systems, ensuring compliance with security policies, and managing risk through the implementation of robust security measures. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to oversee system security assessments, monitor for vulnerabilities, and respond to potential threats. The ideal candidate is passionate about protecting critical systems, thrives in a collaborative environment, and excels at balancing technical expertise with compliance requirements to safeguard organizational assets.Position Responsibilities:Develop and maintain system security plans (SSPs)Perform regular risk assessments and auditsMonitor compliance with security policies and proceduresOversee system vulnerability management and remediation effortsEnsure adherence to security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, RMF)Collaborate with teams to address security incidents and findingsRequired Skills:Proficiency in security frameworks like NIST RMF or ISO 27001Strong understanding of access control and authentication mechanismsAbility to manage and analyze security tools (e.g., SIEM, vulnerability scanners)Knowledge of incident response and reporting processesFamiliarity with secure configuration managementStrong documentation and report-writing abilitiesDesired Skills:Knowledge of cloud security practices (e.g., AWS, Azure)Familiarity with penetration testing results interpretationExperience in managing classified information systemsUnderstanding of advanced threat detection techniquesKnowledge of continuous monitoring tools and practicesExpertise in implementing zero trust architecture principles
