Gastroenterology Health & Science Specialist - Austin TX

Pfizer seeks a field-based Gastroenterology Health & Science Specialist to drive product launch and growth through strategic customer engagement, compliance-focused relationships, and cross-functional collaboration in the Austin, Texas territory. The role combines specialty sales expertise with disease-state knowledge to support appropriate therapy use and patient access.
Responsibilities
- Execute in-person customer engagement and promotional activities across assigned territory accounts
- Build compliant relationships with healthcare providers and office staff to support therapy adoption
- Deliver approved disease-state and product messaging aligned with evidence-based value narratives
- Identify market opportunities and prioritize account engagement using product and market knowledge
- Support patient access by navigating reimbursement, hubs, and co-pay resources
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or associate's with 8+ years experience or high school diploma with 10+ years experience
- Minimum 3 years pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device sales or marketing experience
- Valid US driver's license with compliant driving record
- Preferred: 3–5 years specialty sales in gastroenterology, immunology, or inflammation
- Strong understanding of complex disease states, biologics, and specialty reimbursement
- Experience engaging key opinion leaders and high-influence healthcare provider accounts
- Demonstrated data-driven decision making and digital engagement capability
Compensation: $108,600–$250,700 base annual plus sales incentive bonus
