RN - Cardiac Telemetry, Days

Overview Join us at Piedmont Henry as we continue to grow! We are a 32‑bed Cardiac/Pulmonary Unit with Hospitalists/APPs 24/7. Also included in our staff mix are Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, and Patient Care Technicians. Typical nurse‑to‑patient ratio is 1:4/1:5. The unit manages arrhythmia, cardioversion, pharmacologic management, Tikosyn loading, titratable cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Milrinone, Cardizem, Bumex, Heparin, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Lasix, Nitroglycerine), BIPAP, telemetry monitoring, high‑flow, post‑intra‑cardiac defibrillator and pacemaker placement, post‑cardiac‑catheterization care, TR band management, and DKA management with Glucommander and insulin drips. Responsibilities The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care. Qualifications Education Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing (Required) Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred) Work Experience No experience required. New graduates of a nursing program eligible (Required) Nursing experience in a hospital setting (Preferred) 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions (Preferred) Licenses and Certifications RN – Registered Nurse – Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure; current license in Georgia or NLC/eNCL (Required) BCLS – Basic Life Support (Required) Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum) Addendum Cardiac Tele: Additional required certification – ACLS (Required; nurses new to specialty must complete within 6 months of start date) Critical Care: Additional required certification – ACLS (Required; nurses new to specialty must complete within 6 months of start date) Dialysis: Additional required certification – CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate) (Preferred) Emergency Department: Additional required certifications – ACLS and PALS (Required; nurses new to specialty must complete within 6 months of start date; experienced ED nurses have 6 months to obtain PALS) Infusion/Oncology: Additional required certification – Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification (Required prior to independent chemotherapy administration) Pediatrics: Additional required certifications – PALS or PEARS (Required; nurses new to specialty must complete within 6 months of start date) Surgical Services: Additional required certifications – Pre‑Op/PACU/ENDO/CSU – ACLS; PALS if unit provides pediatric care; BLS otherwise (Required; within 180 days) Women’s Services: Additional required certifications – Labor & Delivery ACLS, NRP during orientation, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months, NICU NRP during orientation, NAT NRP during orientation, Nursery NRP during orientation; all within 180 days (Required) Business Unit Piedmont Henry Hospital #J-18808-Ljbffr
