Job Summary
JENNMAR is seeking a Maintenance Manager who is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and supervising the overall functions of the maintenance department adhering to state and local building codes and the National Electrical Code when performing job duties. Employee interacts with production supervisory and management personnel to coordinate inside/outside routine or extensive preventive/reparative maintenance for building(s), grounds, machines, and equipment.
Education & Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED Required. BS Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Preferred.
- Minimum Five (5) Years Industrial Manufacturing Maintenance Experience Required; Supervisory Experience Required.
- Working Knowledge of Hydraulic and Mechanical Systems,PLC-Based Systems and Robotics Required.
- Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing Preferred.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace safety, recognizing safety as the highest priority at all times.
- Ability to follow and implement general and maintenance-specific quality and safety procedures, policies, and guidelines.
- Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and coordinating daily maintenance activities and preventive maintenance programs.
- Strong computer skills for maintenance tracking, work order management, and documentation.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, including fact gathering, data analysis, monitoring equipment performance, and identifying root causes of issues.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly present information and ideas to maintenance personnel, plant management, and other departments.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply information from mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Proficient knowledge and experience in fabrication, pneumatics, hydraulics, machine operation, and equipment maintenance.
- Proficient knowledge and experience in electrical troubleshooting, power distribution systems, use of multimeters and diagnostic equipment, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motor drives, robotics, and automated equipment.
- Proficient knowledge of the operation, maintenance, and safe use of overhead cranes, forklifts, lathes, presses, welding and cutting equipment, and hand and power tools.
- Dependability to be consistently at work and on time, with the flexibility to work varying schedules, including all shifts, as business needs require.
- Strong team-oriented mindset with the ability to organize, coordinate, and direct the work of others.
- Knowledge of Tool and Die Install, Set Up and Trouble shooting for Heavy Stamping Processes.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, direct, supervise, and evaluate maintenance operations while ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, state and local building codes, and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Develop, implement, and monitor procedures to effectively and efficiently utilize labor, materials, equipment, and other resources to meet maintenance requirements.
- Coordinate and execute maintenance activities with strict adherence to established quality, safety, and operational standards.
- Develop, implement, and oversee preventive maintenance programs and schedules to maximize equipment reliability and support cost-effective production operations.
- Participate in the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training of maintenance personnel.
- Provide leadership and support to maintenance employees, resolve workplace issues, and administer disciplinary actions fairly and consistently when necessary.
- Foster positive employee relations and maintain a productive, collaborative work environment within the department.
- Oversee maintenance department recordkeeping and documentation to ensure compliance with company requirements and applicable quality management standards, including ISO 9001.
- Monitor maintenance performance metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in equipment reliability, productivity, safety, and cost management.
- Intermittent travel will be required for Training, Equipment Evaluation, and Company Meetings.
