MRI Technologist

This position involves working as an MRI Technologist. The facility has 874 licensed beds and serves as a Level 1 Trauma and Level 1 Pediatric Trauma center. It is a teaching hospital recognized as a Chest Pain Center and a Stroke Center. The department averages 40 to 45 patients per day. The position requires a minimum of one year of experience, and first-time travelers are welcome. The patient population includes adults and pediatrics from emergency departments, ICUs, nursing units, and outpatients. The role encompasses a full spectrum of radiology exams and diagnoses. State licensure is not required. All departments have a lead tech, modality supervisor, and Imaging Manager. The team is diverse, with varying levels of experience from new graduates to seasoned professionals. The department uses EPIC as its electronic medical record system and operates Siemens 1.5T magnets. Scheduling involves no rotations between weekends and weekdays, and travelers will work based on the agreed contract. Call requirements will vary and are shared equitably among full-time, part-time, PRN, and traveler teammates. Travelers are expected to cover holidays unless previously approved off. Travelers will work the same shifts outlined in the contract, with no rotation but stable scheduling. The department culture focuses on teamwork and high clinical skill sets, supporting a fast-paced environment. Technologists wear black scrubs.
