Mueller Company (Mueller Co.), the nation’s leading manufacturer of flow control devices for the water and gas distribution industries, has an immediate opening for a Buyer/Planner in our Cleveland, TN facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS DUTIES/RESPONSIBLITIES

Responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies. Maintain day to day communication with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, system data integrity, and ordering parameters for individual materials Schedule production within production environment by issuing work orders and maintaining schedules Maintain ideal inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries, while maximizing turns, and minimizing carrying costs Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Perform a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected Understand the dynamics of effective teamwork to attain higher levels of performance Understands lean manufacturing and can demonstrate various lean practices Demonstrate a commitment to engage teams in other departments or divisions of the organization

Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to effectively work in a team.
