Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Emergency Room setting within a Level I Trauma Center environment
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias as part of ongoing patient monitoring and treatment
• Administer continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation as required by patient care needs
• Perform triage assessments and prioritize patient care based on acuity
• Float to Pediatric Emergency Department as needed
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic medical records

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN License (compact license not accepted; must be active by start date)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS (AHA preferred), PALS, TNCC, and NIH certifications required (certifications may not be pending at contract start)
• Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Availability to work 3 weekends (Friday–Sunday) per 4-week schedule and willingness to accept high patient ratios (1:5–6, up to 1:8)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ENPC certification preferred
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Experience with continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration
• Triage experience in an emergency care setting
