Fusion Medical Staffing – Cath Lab is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Zephyrhills, Florida. Job Details Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 per week, 8‑hour days Employment Type: Travel Required Qualifications One year of recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist Valid ARRT or RCIS/RCES certification in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC) Valid radiologic technologist license in compliance with state regulations PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification Additional certifications or licenses may be required Summary The Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist assists physicians in performing minimally invasive procedures using advanced imaging technology. The role involves preparing patients and equipment, operating fluoroscopic and other imaging modalities, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. Essential Work Functions Prepare and position patients for IR procedures, ensuring comfort and safety. Operate imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound. Assist physicians by scrubbing in for sterile procedures, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field. Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details. Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions. Ensure proper radiation safety measures for patients, staff, and self. Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment. Manage and restock procedural supplies. Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and team members to provide seamless patient care. Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols. Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures. Perform other duties as assigned to support IR lab operations. Adhere to hospital safety and regulatory standards. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication. Proficiency in English, following written and verbal instructions. PC skills required. Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Ability to work effectively with diverse personnel and maintain professionalism. Fine manipulation and motor skill proficiency during procedures. Capacity to work under pressure, occasional close supervision, and irregular schedules.
