Position Summary: The Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for a variety of duties assisting in the preparation and packaging of medications, distribution and delivery of medications, supporting the maintenance of proper inventory levels and keeping appropriate records and documentation.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• Completion of an ASHP/ACPE accredited pharmacy technician training program preferred.
• 0 to 2 years of pharmacy technician or other related experience.
• PHRMTECH-R - Registered Pharmacy Technician required
• Hands-On Pharmacy Technician & Sterile Compounding experience is strongly preferred!

Skills and Abilities:

• Requires knowledge of pharmacy work routines, procedures, materials, terminology, and medication names.
• Requires skills for accurate drug preparation and pharmaceutical compounding, following Standard Operating Procedures. Requires the skills to read and understand instructions, and basic math skills. Requires interpersonal skills to interact with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to obtain, verify and exchange information.
• Ability to work with computers for data entry and manipulation
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy environment

Hours: Limited (20 hours per week); Day Shift. No weekend work required.

Salary Range: Minimum 17.97/hour - Maximum 28.74/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
