Travel RN Job Details

• End Date: February 16, 2027
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Night shifts, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
• Shift Duration: 12-hour overnight shifts
• Hours: 36 hours per week, typically three 12-hour shifts
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020–$2,130

Labor and Delivery RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in North Carolina
• At least 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Experience in a Level II maternity or hospital setting preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interdisciplinary teamwork skills
• Ability to work 12-hour overnight shifts in a fast-paced Labor and Delivery environment

Labor and Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum periods
• Attend deliveries and support safe, compassionate care for birthing patients and newborns
• Monitor maternal and fetal status, recognize changes in condition, and respond promptly according to clinical protocols
• Assist with newborn resuscitation and collaborate with the care team during emergent situations
• Provide couplet care and educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, newborn care, and discharge planning
• Accurately document nursing assessments, interventions, responses to care, and patient outcomes
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and other interdisciplinary healthcare professionals
