Exciting Opportunity for a Medical Technologist! Job Description:
- Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 03:30)
- Coverage Needs: Anticipated for a minimum of six months
- Call Requirements: No
- Float Requirements: No
- Weekends: Every other weekend
- Required Certifications: ASCP MT Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct laboratory tests and analyses in a hospital clinical laboratory setting
- Perform Aerobic and Anaerobic culture tests
- Execute Chlamydia culture/smear functions
- Master Culture plating , Cytospin , and Gram Stain techniques
- Read and interpret Microbiology culture results
- Identify organisms using Aerobic and Anaerobic methods
- Conduct PCR Testing (e.g., flu, COVID, MRSA Screen)
- Set up plates and perform rapid tests (RSV, strep, C-diff) Requirements:
- Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in relevant field
- Accepts First-Time Travelers: Yes
- Valid CA License: Required at the time of submission
- References: 2 supervisor references preferred Unit Details:
- Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
- Patient Care: Broad range of diagnoses with interdisciplinary support Other Information:
- Candidates will float within the hospital when needed
- Must adhere to background policy prior to submission
- Any permanent employee must be gone for at least 6 months
