OnSite Specialist - Columbus, Ohio

Field-based OnSite Specialist position supporting sterile processing departments in hospital operating rooms. Responsible for decontamination, assembly, and function testing of surgical instrumentation while maintaining compliance with standards and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, assemble, and test rigid scopes, cameras, light cords, and power instruments
• Perform in-line function testing including leak, sharpness, insulation, and power checks
• Wrap and containerize instrument sets for sterilization per manufacturer specifications
• Maintain instrumentation tracking systems and coordinate repairs with SPD leadership
• Communicate equipment status and process improvements to operating room and sterile processing leaders

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree, or equivalent certifications
• Operating room experience and knowledge of surgical procedures preferred
• CRCST certification required within 6 months of start date
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong written/verbal communication
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues in high-stress environments
• Physical capability to lift 50 lbs occasionally and stand for extended periods
• Near visual acuity, color vision, and fine finger dexterity

Compensation: $21.58 - $29.20 USD hourly
