This role will assist with monthly close responsibilities and the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements and supporting schedules.To be successful as a Summer Intern, you should be willing to help with any tasks assigned by a supervisor. You will assist with the monthly & quarterly closes and be involved in upcoming and current projects.**Job Responsibilities:*** Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements and supporting schedules.* Record journal entries and perform analysis of financial statements.* Assist internal, external, and regulatory auditors in retrieving requested documentation.* Perform special projects as required or requested.* Review and analyze tasks to identify potential operational efficiencies and automated solutions for manual processes.**Required Skills & Qualifications:*** Interest in the Property and Casualty Insurance industry* Students currently in their Sophomore or Junior year pursuing a bachelors degree in accounting* Currently have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities* High level of intellectual curiosity* Effective communicator (verbal and written)* Strong attention to detail* Desire to work collaboratively in a team environment* Commutable to our West Trenton, New Jersey officeThe Financial Reporting Intern role can pay $21-$22 hour.Starting Rate: $21Legal Disclaimer: NJM is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
