Job Description

The Retail Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in supporting store operations by supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring excellent customer service. This position involves coordinating team efforts to maintain high standards in store presentation and operational efficiency while fostering a positive shopping environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and motivate store staff to deliver exceptional performance
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure product availability and reduce shrinkage
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and handle customer inquiries and complaints
  • Conduct training and development programs for team members
  • Implement visual merchandising standards to enhance store appearance
  • Oversee cash handling procedures and financial accuracy
  • Coordinate daily store operations and ensure adherence to company policies
  • Prepare reports on sales, inventory, and team performance
  • Resolve conflicts and foster a collaborative work environment

 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years in retail management

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in retail management and customer service
  • Knowledge of inventory control and point of sale (POS) systems
  • Strong team leadership and communication skills
  • Proven problem-solving abilities
  • Effective time management
