Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a life science field

• ASCP required

• 2 years of prior experience in a medical or clinical laboratory setting.

• BLS through the AHA

Core Skills:

• Expert use of advanced microscopes to screen and study thousands of cells on a single slide.

• Exceptional visual focus to spot tiny, abnormal cell changes that signal disease.

• Strong understanding of human anatomy, cellular biology, and safe laboratory staining methods.

• Clear reporting of findings to pathologists and other medical team members.

• Ability to sit and concentrate for long hours while performing repetitive, precise visual checks.
