Retail Sales Associate

Job Overview Join our team as a full‑time Retail Sales Associate at AAA Club Alliance. The role involves delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales in a dynamic retail environment. Location & Schedule 70 E. Main Street, Avon, CT 06001. Store hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM; Saturday, 9:00 AM–1:00 PM. 37.5‑hour work week. No Sundays. Compensation Base pay: $18.82–$24.07 per hour, based on experience, location, and other factors. Eligible for incentive pay with an average payout of $162–$389 per month. Responsibilities Consistently upsell and cross‑sell AAA products, including memberships, credit cards, and insurance referrals. Assist members in planning domestic travel vacations, such as car rentals, hotels, vacation packages, maps, tour books, and triptiks. Answer incoming overflow calls for Roadside Assistance during peak call volumes, ensuring timely service. Provide backup support for cashiering, tag and title, and IDEMIA services when necessary. Qualifications Previous sales and customer service experience, with a proven ability to drive results. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficiency navigating multiple websites and computer programs; strong computer skills essential for multitasking. Notary Public designation or willingness to obtain one within 6 months of employment. Basic geography knowledge is beneficial. High school diploma or equivalent required. Successful completion of pre‑employment and post‑employment screenings (criminal, drug, state and vendor‑specific). Ability to obtain required membership license or other authorizations needed to perform essential functions. Benefits Medical, dental, and vision plan options.
