Locum - Physician - Anesthesiologist Little Rock AR

CHI St. Vincent Infirmary is looking for a locum Anesthesiologist & CV anesthesiologist to perform anesthesia at CHI St. Vincent Heart Institute working with multiple heart surgeons.

BID DUE DATE: Oct 24 @ 3p EST! Details:

• Asap, ongoing, until the site is able to hire one or two employed Anesthesiologists.
• 7a-3p with sporadic weekend call
• Duties: Performing anesthesia in CV cases, supervising CV CRNA(s), performing TEEs, and placing epidurals.
• Required Procedures : Facile with TEE and comfortable doing all CV cases, excluding transplants, including Ecmo and thoracic cases. Able to perform epidurals.
• Setting: Level II Trauma Center, Strong CV program
• FTE: 2-3
• EMR: Cerner
• Support Staff: CV CRNA team and CV MD team.
• Reason for Coverage:CV MD leaving the position and two others have gone to 75% of FTE.

Additional Details / Questions Answered by Facility:

• Ratio of MDs to CRNAs on a daily basis? ¾-1
• Any times during the day/on-call that our provider will be running their own room? Occasionally, if the need arises but someone will take over your supervision of the CRNAs.
• Any responsibilities for cases aside from cardiac/vascular/thoracic? Possibly, if the CV caseload is down on a certain day.
• Do we have any idea of typical volumes of cases, including open hearts? Two ORs running most of the day. Will get case volume and send.
• Is a cardiac fellowship required? Is a TEE certification required? I don't believe fellowship is required but TEE certification would be helpful.
• Open to non-licensed candidates? Can we license/privilege simultaneously? If they have an Arkansas license it would obviously help with expediting the process.
• Regarding call: What are the start and end times of the weeknight and weekend primary and backup pager calls? Not needed.
• Is this 100% supervision? YES
• What TEE system is used? Phillips with x8 probes? Siemens
• Average case volume is 60 with 8-10 CV Plus TEEs, intubations, a-lines.

Rates to Submit (per CS Guidelines):

• Orientation (half the hourly rate, kicks in after 8 hours)
• Hourly (per hour, no OT) - Must not exceed $560 per hour
• 24 Hour call (must include 4 hours gratis)
• Call back (Must match hourly) - (per hour of patient contact, after gratis hours completed, gratis prorate to MSA terms)
• Holiday (1.5x the regular rate)

2. Presentation submission requirements includes the information that must be sent over in the presentation packet to have your provider presentation reviewed and presented to the client.

Strict adherence to these guidelines will allow for the fastest path to getting your providers accepted. To process the best presentations, Account Coordinators and Account Managers will kickback presentations that do not include the information below (if it has not been discussed already). If you are unable to include something in the presentation, detail why and the plan to get it sent over. Account Managers and Account Coordinators will take this into account as they review the presentation, though they still reserve the right to redirect it back to the vendor if they deem it necessary.


Trio Submission requirements- the following must be updated in Trio

• Full legal name (first, middle, last)
• Suffix for provider (MD, DO, PA, NP, CRNA)
• NPI number must be entered in Trio
• Provider email and best phone number (this pulls to the cover page for Client)
• Best time to contact (this pulls to the cover page for the Client)
• Years of experience must be updated in Trio
• Years of locums experience is optional
• License - State where job is located... Copy of state license and the status. If provider's license in any other status besides active speak to Account Manager before presenting.
• Other Active State License(s)- only list if not in good standing and provide explanation.
• Certification (select multiple that apply; this pulls to the cover page for the Client)
• Availability Section - what is the providers ongoing availability (this pulls to the cover page for Client)
• Answer the pertinent questions:
• Has the provider's professional license or certification been investigated or suspended? (pulls to the cover page for the Client)
• Has the provider been convicted of, or charged with, a crime other than a minor traffic violation?
• Malpractice History- add details- payouts, pending cases, settled cases and dismissals or list "no malpractice"

Presentation submission requirements

• Include an up-to-date CV, which shall include:
• Scope of practice in CV job history section for each job.
• Explain gaps on CV (30-day or larger gaps)
• Copy of Board Certification(s)- If board eligible (List if Candidate is within 5-years of residency?)
• Submit a copy of clean Sex Offender search- include screen shot -
• Supporting certifications such as DEA, BLS, ACLS, ATLS, NRP, PALS
• Procedures provider is comfortable performing: (For Inpatient Services)
• Copy of state license active status. If provider's license is in any other state besides Active, speak to Account Manager before presenting
• If obtaining a new state license for provider- detail where in the process the provider is currently
• Other Active State License(s)- list the state, license number and status
