Inspector

Job Summary Responsible for the verification of product characteristics and associated manufacturing documentation and other quality records, utilizing a range of inspection techniques and methods including, but not limited to visual, mechanical, automated, contact and non-contact. This responsibility is discharged under the authority delegated by quality. Job Responsibilities Exemplifying a safety-first mind-set and ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental policies and standards are followed. Performing inspection processes as described by the product work instructions and/or other directions. Performing first article inspections in line with site operating policies, procedures and work instructions. Executing customer- and regulatory-delegated inspection processes as authorized by those parties and maintaining those delegated authorities. Supporting root cause analysis, preventative and corrective actions to reduce/eliminate non-conformances. Maintaining positive, collaborative relationships with internal and external customers, as well as co-workers. Supporting continuous improvement of production and inspection processes by implementing Lean initiatives. Job Qualifications Required Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in inspection methods and techniques and following relevant work instructions. 1+ years of experience with AS9100 series requirements. 1+ years of experience working with LEAN processes and practices. Preferred Qualifications: GKN Experience Experience in an Aerospace operating environment Apprenticeship, Associate’s Degree in a technical subject or equivalent Awareness of AS9100 series requirements Previous delegated product acceptance authority granted by an Aerospace OEM or regulatory authority Familiarity with 3D model based Engineering #J-18808-Ljbffr GKN Aerospace
