Neurosurgeon - Bronson Healthcare Location: BMH Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo, Michigan. Description Bronson Healthcare is looking for a board‑certified or eligible neurosurgeon to join an established team of three neurosurgeons and seven advanced practitioners. The practice is high‑volume, offers intracranial vascular disease, and serves two locations – Kalamazoo and Battle Creek. New graduates are welcome to apply. Key Opportunities and Benefits Position within Bronson Medical Group with a 1:4 call schedule. Collaborative interdisciplinary team including neurosurgery, neuroendovascular surgery, neurocritical care, neurology, physiatrics, sleep health, neurobehavioral health, neurodiagnostics, and advanced practice provider support. Responsibilities Provide medical patient care by interviewing, examining, and treating clinical patients. Educate patients on wellness, prevention, and early detection through materials and resources. Determine required referrals and level of urgency for follow‑up or consultations. Exercise final medical judgment in all issues of health care. Prescribe medical treatment and clinical drugs. Order studies, tests, and ancillary services. Document all services in the patient's medical record. Review long‑term cases requiring ongoing medical attention. Consult with Medical Director and other professionals as needed regarding patient care, assessment, and education. Participate in process improvement, management, continuing education, and other patient care programs established by the hospital or clinic requirements. Oversee mid‑level medical staff and nursing clinical staff as assigned. Assist in resolving complaints, requests, and inquiries from patients. Maintain confidentiality of all patient information per federal guidelines. Demonstrate commitment to outstanding customer service in alignment with mission, values, and standards. Qualifications Medical degree and minimum of 2 years of direct or internship experience. Current medical license in the state of Michigan. Current DEA and DPS certificate of registration. Must maintain all medical staff privilege requirements. Knowledge of professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques. Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment. Effective verbal and written communication skills and proper telephone etiquette. Ability to work in physically demanding situations, including standing, walking, and lifting light objects. Schedule Full‑time, 40 hours per week. First shift.
