About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP for its legal function in Italy. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a full range of legal support and advice on the services and activities carried out in the region. This includes delivering proactive and practical commercial guidance, drafting and implementing relevant contracts, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory developments. The role also involves managing and coordinating legal, regulatory, and business issues across various teams, as well as providing legal support for selected EMEA countries. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in asset management and investment products, with technical expertise in ETF, UCITS, AIF, and ELTIF. Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations for fund management and asset management activities in Italy, including clients' supervisory laws, is essential. Applicants for this VP role at the company should hold an Italian law degree, with a preference for bar admission, and have 2-7 years' of experience in the field. The role requires excellent Italian and English language skills, and experience in a major law firm or in-house within a large financial services company or asset manager is highly valued. The candidate should be adept at managing multiple time-sensitive matters, possess strong negotiation and presentation skills, and demonstrate the ability to take a business and solution-oriented approach. The role demands a dynamic and positive personality, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, intercultural sensitivity, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
