Job Title Local Delivery Driver (Class A w/Airbrakes & Hazmat) Location Harvey, LA – Retail shop Pay & Schedule Pay: $26 per hour Monthly bonus potential Work schedule: Monday‑Friday, day shift Benefits start after 30 days of employment Responsibilities Securely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases at customer locations. Accurately record deliveries and pick‑ups on a load manifest, obtain customer signatures, and return empty or rejected cylinders to plant or branch for refilling. Adhere to all Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations (DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, OSHA). Provide warehouse or dock assistance as needed. Qualifications Valid LA Class A Commercial Driver’s License. Valid Medical Examiner’s Card. Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications. At least one year of professional Class A driving experience within the last five years with a clean driving record (no more than two convictions or two at‑fault accidents in the last three years). At least 21 years old. Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets. Ability to lift 25–75 lbs., and occasionally 76–125 lbs. with material handling equipment. Ability to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours and perform frequent bending. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Forklift or Moffett operator certification required.
