As a Front of House Lead, you'll play a key role in creating memorable experiences for our patrons.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee the ushers and patron experience in either the Lindsay Legacy or Smith Grand theaters during a performance, acting as escalation for team members and patron needs. The Lead is the connection between ushers/patrons and the Front of House Supervisor for the evening, working to provide solutions and elevate the experience for patrons wherever possible.
• Support ushers and concession workers with any challenges they may have and that that are unable to resolve: seating challenges, refund requests, guest injuries or illness, patron complaints, cleanliness/damage to the theater during a performance, spills of drink/food, handling disruptive patron behavior during a show, etc.
• Count, distribute, and report cash amounts for sales preshow.
• Reconcile, balance, and report cash sales with ushers and the Front of House Supervisor each shift.
• Engage with patrons as they enter the theater to create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Listen to and address patron issues, questions, and concerns in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Work with Box Office Representatives, Wardrobe Staff, and Technicians to coordinate the smooth operation of the house before, during, and after performances.
• Maintain the tidiness and accessibility of patron areas to enhance their experience.
• Be knowledgeable about the company, including its mission, values, current productions, current season, and upcoming events, to better assist patrons.
• Create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere through honest, clear communication with patrons, staff, and teammates.

Schedule:

• This is a part-time hourly position requiring a minimum of 12-15 hours per week (3-4 shifts).
• Flexible scheduling with weekday evenings and Saturday shifts, plus occasional mornings and afternoons. Depending on show schedule

Skills and Qualifications:

• Prior experience performing high-volume customer service-related work is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are required
• Basic computer skills are necessary for reporting and communication
• Strong organization and communication skills
• Effective time management
• Problem-solving abilities
• Multitasking capability
• Cheerful and friendly demeanor
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
