Job Title: Order Selector Job Description

The Order Selector supports efficient warehouse and production operations by accurately selecting, packing, and preparing products for production and shipment. Working on 1st shift from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., this role focuses on reading and interpreting customer orders, handling materials, and maintaining inventory accuracy while ensuring product quality and proper packaging.

• Read and interpret customer orders accurately to identify and locate the correct items in the warehouse.
• Pick products from shelves and storage locations, ensuring the correct quantity, type, and lot as required.
• Stack and organize picked products on pallets in a safe and efficient manner to support production and shipping workflows.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials to and from production lines and staging areas.
• Perform inventory management tasks, including tracking stock movement, updating counts, and reporting discrepancies to maintain accurate records.
• Conduct physical inventory counts as needed to verify stock levels and support inventory control processes.
• Inspect products for quality issues and damage prior to packing and shipment to maintain high standards.
• Label, wrap, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring all packaging and documentation requirements are met.
• Apply special packaging materials, including ice or dry ice when required, to protect temperature-sensitive or specialty products.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with warehouse procedures and safety guidelines.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as an order selector in a warehouse or production environment.
• Proficiency in order picking and inventory handling, including reading and following detailed order documentation.
• Ability to accurately pick, stack, and prepare products on pallets for production and shipment.
• Experience operating basic warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure correct item selection, quantity accuracy, and proper labeling.
• Basic understanding of inventory management processes, including tracking stock movement and reporting discrepancies.
• Ability to inspect products for quality and damage and take appropriate action when issues are identified.

• Experience with general picking and order picking workflows in a warehouse setting.
• Familiarity with preparing and packaging orders, including labeling, wrapping, and using special packaging materials such as ice or dry ice.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive production and shipping schedules.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines consistently.

The environment is fast-paced and focused on meeting production and shipping deadlines, with an emphasis on safety, organization, and adherence to standard operating procedures. Appropriate work attire typically includes practical, safety-conscious clothing suitable for warehouse activities.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norton Shores, MI.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
