National Accounts Manager

Position Summary The National Accounts Manager is responsible for selling and executing sales and marketing programs for key national chain accounts. The role includes planning, executing, and coordinating the Annual Business Plan for assigned customers while ensuring accountability at the distributor level and driving profitability across market segments. Responsibilities Plan, execute, and coordinate the Annual Business Plan for assigned customers and drive distributor accountability. Develop and implement National Sales Programs within assigned account(s). Sell new and expanded distribution of Constellation National Accounts Beer Division brands to multi‑unit, regional, and franchise chain accounts (Large Format Grocery, Mass Merchandiser, Convenience Store, and multi‑unit drug store chain). Develop, sell, and implement custom‑created promotional programs for off‑premise accounts. Communicate sales results to field sales and distributor networks to ensure execution of retail plans and promotions. Leverage national retail promotions in conjunction with customized regional programs to meet sales and distribution plans. Collaborate with National Sales Team Leads or Channel Vice Presidents to meet annual business plans and develop account programming as needed. Serve as the primary business contact between Constellation Brands and the National Account base to establish Constellation as the category leader. Manage budget allocations, ROI, and other financial responsibilities; oversee Travel and Expense and Constellation Tactical Funds (CTF) budgets. Prepare and deliver detailed sales presentations for account business reviews and sales calls. Identify and grow volume opportunities in the target account base. Perform additional responsibilities assigned by management. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in consumer products. 5‑8 years of sales experience in the beverage alcohol industry (Beer specific preferred) with at least three years selling to off‑premises chain retailers. Strong understanding of category management. Proven track record building relationships with retail customers, internal associates, and wholesalers. Ability to gather and use customer feedback to identify needs and challenges. Demonstrated diligence and follow‑through on commitments to internal and external stakeholders. Excellent written and oral communication skills at all organizational levels. Ability to achieve performance goals with minimal direction. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and email programs; ability to learn and use internal systems. Experience with business information tools such as MicroStrategy and Numerator. Travel up to 40% of working time, including up to 5 hours driving. Preferred Qualifications Management skills to develop allocated resources under supervision to meet business objectives. Physical Requirements / Work Environment Must be able to stand, walk, sit, lift up to 55 lbs, climb or balance stairs/ladders, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must have close and distant vision, ability to adjust focus and peripheral vision, and ability to stand for extended periods. Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel by car, plane, or train. Must be at least 21 years of age and able to sit and/or stand for long periods while working on a computer. Location and Job Type Location: Charlotte, North Carolina. Job Type: Full time. Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $105,100.00 – $164,400.00 (based on cost of labor and geographic market).
