Primary Care Physician (Poinciana, Florida Full-time) IMA (Kissimmee)

Job Overview

We are excited to announce an excellent employment opportunity for a Physician to join our team at the Poinciana office. In this role you will provide routine clinical care, conduct examinations, assess symptoms, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and offer patient education and counseling.

Key Responsibilities

• Interview, examine, and diagnose patients during clinic visits.
• Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests and communicate treatment options to patients.
• Refer patients to specialists or other practitioners when necessary.
• Maintain and update patient records and medical histories in a timely manner.
• Perform minor surgical procedures such as wound care, suturing, joint aspirations, injections, and immunizations.
• Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens, ensuring allergy information is current.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and families to improve health outcomes.
• Accurately record diagnoses to support correct billing.
• Stay current on medical research, practices, and procedures that impact clinical care.
• Adhere to departmental policies, quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and all federal and state privacy laws.
• Complete administrative assignments as requested by the Medical Director and collaborate with providers to ensure a cooperative environment.
• Participate in monthly provider team meetings and performance reviews with the Medical Director.

Requirements

• Current Florida License (Full or ACN) or ability to obtain one.
• BLS certification.
• EMR experience.
• Primary Care Physician practice experience.
• Experience managing Medicare Advantage patients or Value‑Based Care.
• Preferred: Athena experience.
• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Family Practice or Internal Medicine.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
