You will be an integral member of our product creation team, and will influence the creation and manufacturing of all new models by ensuring margin and FOB targets are set at the beginning of the product creation process, reviewing cost breakdown sheets at each critical date, and providing suggestions accordingly. You will collaborate with your Arc’teryx, Tier 1 and Tier 2 counterparts in Asia to optimize manufacturing costs, and work with our Sourcing and Materials team to ensure our sourcing strategy and financial targets are aligned. You will create “cheat sheets” and other “self-service” tools and ensure critical steps in our costing process are aligned with our corporate calendar.
This role is based out of our Portland office. Candidates must be eligible to work in the US.

Fostering deep, collaborative partnerships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 partners to ensure Arc’teryx’s standards and processes are agreed upon and followed.
Leveraging your functional expertise to educate, coach and mentor others
Continuously learn and monitor processes in manufacturing to search for efficiency improvements opportunities
Developing and/or identifying the costing tools and processes need to lead us into the digital future
Coaching and mentoring our full product creation team

- You have at least five years’ experience in cost engineering in the footwear industry, ideally with exposure to manufacturing environments in Asia
You can independently provide suggestions and ideas for improving margins.
You have strong influencing skills, with the ability to drive alignment across diverse cross-functional stakeholders
You set a clear vision, align your team around common objectives, and foster commitment to these objectives
