Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification for K-8th grade
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in an elementary or middle school setting
• Familiarity with creating and implementing IEPs and differentiated instructional plans
• Strong communication and collaborative skills
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, though not required
• A proactive, creative, and compassionate approach to education

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging instruction in either an instructional or resource classroom setting for K-8th grade students
• Develop and implement IEPs according to state and federal guidelines
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure student success and inclusion
• Track and document student progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed
• Serve as an advocate for students, keeping families informed and engaged in their child’s education
