Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $3,160 per week

Care Career is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Rapid City, South Dakota. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 14 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, rotating Employment Type: Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (L&D) Shift: 12-hour variable shifts, 6:30 AM–6:30 PM / 6:30 PM–6:30 AM Schedule: Must be comfortable working both days and nights Weekend: Every other weekend Guaranteed Hours: 48 hrs/week Experience: 2 years L&D experience required , preferably Level III L&D Traveler: First-time travelers accepted Facility: Level III NICU; high-risk L&D Patient Population: High-risk & low-intervention labor, antepartum, OB triage/ED, postpartum, newborns Ratios: Antepartum 1:3 | Inactive Labor 1:2 | Active Labor 1:1 | Postpartum/Couplet 1:3 Certifications: BLS & NRP required ; ACLS preferred Preferred: Inpatient OB, electronic fetal monitoring, or inpatient antepartum certification EMR: EPIC required unless manager approves exception Required Skills: High-acuity labor, preeclampsia, preterm labor/delivery ( Hard Stop: Must have couplet care and be comfortable caring for normal newborns (Level I nursery) Preferred: Level II nursery experience Floating: Must work Postpartum/Couplet Care during the contract Orientation: 4 days with preceptor — 3 days L&D 1 day postpartum Call: May be placed on low-census call Holidays: As needed About Care Career Care Career brings together a portfolio of leading healthcare staffing organizations, each delivering specialized talent solutions across the industry.
