Director of Dining Services/ General Manager

Metz Culinary Management is growing and we are seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead our AMAZING Dining Services Team at Gannon University.

Gannon's Erie Campus is in the heart of downtown and is central to businesses and organizations providing project and internship experiences. Enjoy a vibrant urban entertainment scene and Lake Erie beaches.

Dining Operations in this busy and fast-paced role include:

• Dining Room/ Cafe
• Catering
• 4 Retail outlets including Chick fil A and Starbucks
• Management of 130 employees

We are seeking an experienced GM with a strong operational background in the Contract Dining Services industry, with polished communication skills, STELLAR technical skills including smart technology, POS systems, digital ordering and inventory systems, digitalized ATS system (including job posting and onboarding).

Metz Culinary Management is growing and we have openings for a Rock Star Food Service Director/GM who shares our passion for Food and Service. This position is a prominent opportunity in a busy commercial kitchen and café operations setting and requires a polished and professional identity and winning attitude from a Director with experience leading a team in all operations. Experience desired in a Contract Dining Food Service setting such as Hospital, School, College, Senior Living or Corporate Dining accounts.

The Food Service Director/ GM has an overall responsibility of food service. He/She institutes company cycle menus and recipes; plans and oversees purchasing, employee personnel programs, scheduling, bookkeeping, customer and client relations; oversees the food preparation service and sanitation; and is accountable for the total operation results. The General Manager reports to Client Administration and The District Manager.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 3+Plus Years in a Food Service Manager role (front and back)
• Knowledgeable in Retail Sales and POS systems
• Catering Management Experience
• Impeccable Communication Skills
• Restaurant Management knowledge
• Thorough knowledge of Menu implementation with stunning presentation ideas
• Team Building with strong Recruiting and Retention Program
• Technology Savvy
• Hospitality Degree a strong plus
