Registered Nurse - Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation

Schedule

This is a Night Shift position, working 3x12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15.

Assignment Duration

This is an 8-week contract position.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care in an Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation setting, assisting patients with recovery from neurological disorders, strokes, and other rehabilitation needs. The role requires a collaborative approach, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and enhance recovery. Emphasis will be on patient education along with frequent monitoring of health status and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Conduct assessments and monitor patients' progress.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and injury prevention.
• Collaborate with rehabilitation specialists to develop and implement patient treatment plans.
• Utilize telemetry and other monitoring devices as needed.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1-2 years of experience in Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation or an Acute Rehabilitation hospital.
• Current RN license in Pennsylvania.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and CPI preferred.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is mandatory.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills are essential.
