Job Title: Structural Technician III Location: Englewood, CO Zip Code: 80112 Duration: 12+ Months Pay Rate: $40/hr. Keywords: Englewoodjobs, structuraltechjobs Start Date: Immediate Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance Responsibilities As a Structural Technician III, you will use your skills and expertise to assemble or create major assembly structures and minor part‑fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming. You will be responsible for aligning parts on jigs and aerospace vehicles using templates and fixtures, and measuring parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions. You may also modify incomplete and complete assemblies and incorporate the changes into the structure, and monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Physical, Mental & Emotional Requirements Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps. Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity. Frequently requires vision abilities to include close, distance, depth perception, and distinguishing the difference between colors. Frequently requires hearing abilities to include discerning different tones and volumes. Frequently lift or carry up to 50 lbs. Working Conditions Frequently exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.) Occasionally exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials. Frequently exposed to loud noises. Safety Sensitive Position Responsible for the safety or security of people or property. Inspects structures, equipment or vehicles. Performs aviation related duties. Operates or supervises vehicles, heavy or dangerous equipment or machinery. Skills Must‑haves Must have/own tools in good working order. Ability to understand and interpret applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications. Ability to complete installations per technical drawings while maintaining edge distance and pitch. Progressive experience with structure assembly, minor part‑fitting techniques and repair and refinishing such as airframe corrosion removal, as applicable. Ability to install various fasteners such as rivets and hi‑locks. Preferred Ability to travel. Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, NASA or US Military. Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required. Education Requirements High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 5 or more years of relevant experience.
