Construction - Field Engineer

Velocity Constructors, Inc. is a Colorado-based, employee-owned general contractor specializing in water and wastewater infrastructure projects. From pump stations to treatment plants, we build systems that keep communities safe and running. We’re currently seeking a Field Engineer to support project execution from the ground up, on-site. Key Duties & Responsibilities Read and interpret project plans, specifications, and technical drawings. Perform quantity takeoffs to forecast material needs. Track and inventory materials delivered to job sites. Assist with layout and site setup for equipment and infrastructure installation. Work with the Superintendent to develop safe and efficient installation strategies. Enter and maintain daily logs, including weather conditions, progress photos, and equipment reports. Track weather delays and report time and material changes or field orders. Support job‑site safety by performing inspections and enforcing corrections. Conduct safety inspections of tools, equipment, and scaffolding. Lead or assist in weekly toolbox talks—including documentation and signoffs with subcontractors. Compile submittals and documentation to support proper installation by crews and subs. Prepare and finalize red‑lined as‑built drawings. Perform additional duties assigned by the Project Superintendent. Effectively communicate with field teams, superintendents, project managers, and subcontractors. Report directly to the Project Superintendent while supporting other field and office personnel. Document and share critical field data to support schedule, safety, and performance tracking. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience). Understanding of surveying, site layout, and technical drawings. Strong communication skills—comfortable working with field crews, project managers, and stakeholders.
