Associate Attorney

Position Title: Junior Attorney

A rare opportunity for a junior attorney to build serious litigation experience without sacrificing every hour outside the office. A growing plaintiff-side employment law practice is seeking a Junior Attorney to support its Wage & Hour Class Action practice. This role offers hands-on exposure to discovery, depositions, meet-and-confer efforts, court conferences, and substantive project-based work while learning directly from experienced attorneys.

The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of civil litigation experience, is admitted to the California Bar, and has a genuine interest in employment law. They are looking for someone ambitious, responsible, and highly attentive to the quality of their work - an attorney who meets deadlines, takes ownership, and does not need to be micromanaged.

Salary Range: $110,000-$135,000 / Year, DOE

Responsibilities

• Support a senior Wage & Hour Class Action Attorney across an active employment litigation caseload
• Handle discovery review, document organization, and related litigation support
• Draft meet-and-confer correspondence and assist with substantive written work
• Participate in depositions, initially with an emphasis on defending depositions
• Attend case management conferences, initial status conferences, and other proceedings
• Complete project-based assignments from senior attorneys with accuracy and strong attention to detail
• Support additional attorneys and matters as workload and experience evolve

Requirements

• 1-3 years of civil litigation experience
• Active California Bar admission
• Demonstrated interest in employment law, particularly wage and hour matters
• Experience with discovery review and assembling litigation documents
• Exposure to depositions, including having attended or participated in depositions
• Strong writing, research, and analytical skills with consistent attention to deadlines
• Comfortable and proficient using AI tools as part of a modern legal workflow
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and produce high-quality work without constant oversight
• Employment litigation experience involving FEHA or wage and hour matters strongly preferred
• Plaintiff-side litigation experience preferred
• Experience defending depositions is a plus
