Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Rotating Weekends | No On-Call Required for Staff RNs

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for labor, delivery, postpartum, and special care nursery patients in an LDRP setting
• Manage and monitor high-risk and Level II maternal patients, including cervical ripening, induction of labor (Pitocin), MgSO4, and insulin drip administration
• Assist with and provide perioperative nursing care for C-sections, tubal ligations, and cerclage removals
• Deliver mother-baby couplet care on postpartum, maintaining patient ratios of 1:2 for labor and up to 1:4 couplets
• Provide infant and special care nursery nursing care, including care for medium-risk and transitional newborns
• Utilize unit equipment including Alaris Pumps, Giraffe Warmers, GE Fetal Monitors, Monica wireless monitoring, and EMR systems (GE Centricity/CPN and Meditech)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of Labor or Postpartum experience within the last year
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NRP certification
• Current EFM certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• LDRP experience encompassing mother-baby, postpartum, OR circulator for cesarean sections, well-baby nursery, and NICU or special care nursery
• NICU or newborn transition/baby catching experience, particularly relevant given planned Level II NICU expansion
• STABLE certification
• Positive, proactive attitude with the ability to integrate into a collaborative, team-oriented unit culture
