Concrete Batch Plant Operator - Primoris Heavy Civil - Louisiana

Job Overview:Job Summary:**Operate and maintain a concrete batch plant for Primoris Heavy Civil projects in Louisiana, ensuring the production of high-quality concrete mix according to specifications.Job Responsibilities:*** Operate all components of a concrete batch plant, including conveyors, hoppers, mixers, and control systems.* Monitor and adjust aggregate, cement, water, and admixture levels to ensure precise concrete mix proportions.* Perform routine maintenance and inspections on plant equipment, identifying and reporting any malfunctions or necessary repairs.* Conduct quality control tests on concrete samples (slump, air content, temperature) and maintain accurate production logs.* Coordinate with truck drivers, dispatchers, and project managers to ensure timely and efficient concrete delivery.* Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper lockout/tagout procedures.* Maintain a clean and organized work environment.* Troubleshoot and resolve minor operational issues.* Assist with the setup and tear-down of the batch plant as needed.Job Qualifications:*** Proven experience as a concrete batch plant operator.* Knowledge of concrete mix designs and aggregates.* Ability to read and understand blueprints and project specifications.* Familiarity with plant control systems and software.* Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.* Excellent communication and organizational skills.* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.* Ability to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays, as project demands.* Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.#LI-KG1Company Overview:Primoris Heavy Civil provides highway, port, airfield, rail and marine (intermodal transportation) construction services to private commercial and industrial clients as well as governmental entities such as the Department of Transportation and the US Army Corps of Engineers.
