Level II Data Cabling TechnicianNational Network Services (NNS) is seeking a skilled Level II Data Cabling Technician to support our structured cabling projects. You will be responsible for the successful completion of assigned tasks and projects while maintaining company standards for safety, quality, and productivity. This role requires advanced knowledge of structured cabling systems, pathway construction, cable termination, testing, and troubleshooting.The ideal candidate will be capable of leading small crews, mentoring junior technicians, and communicating effectively with team members, project managers, and customers.What We Offer:Salary Range: $25–$29/hour, depending on experienceMedical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceFree Basic Life InsuranceVoluntary Life InsuranceShort- and Long-Term DisabilityCompany-Matched 401(k)Paid HolidaysPaid Time OffGeneral Requirements:Valid driver's license with a clean driving recordAbility to pass background checks and drug screening if requiredOSHA 10 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularlyAbility to work on ladders, lifts, and scaffoldingComfortable working in ceilings, crawl spaces, and construction environmentsAbility to stand, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periodStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsExcellent attention to detailGood communication and customer service skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamReliable, punctual, and organizedWillingness to travel to job sites and occasionally work overtime as project schedules requireWhat You'll Do:Structured Cabling Installation:Install, route, support, and terminate structured cabling systemsRead and interpret blueprints and construction documentsLayout and install pathways, racks, ladder rack systems, backboards, sleeves, and related infrastructureIdentify fire-rated walls and ensure proper installation methods are followedInstall firestop systems in accordance with applicable codes and project requirementsPathway Construction:Demonstrate thorough knowledge of:J-HooksLadder Rack SystemsCable Tray and Flex Tray SystemsAnchor SelectionCeiling and Beam TypesSleeve InstallationFirestop InstallationCable Termination & Testing:Terminate copper cabling on:110 BlocksPatch PanelsBIX BlocksKrone/ADC BlocksPerform cable testing and troubleshooting using industry-standard test equipmentSet up and operate copper certification and testing equipmentMaintain quality standards for cable installation and terminationsLeadership & Training:Lead small crews on assigned projects and tasksEnsure safety, production, and quality goals are achievedTrain and mentor Level I Technicians to support their professional growth and advancementFollow direction from Lead Technicians and Project Managers while contributing to team successCommunication & Documentation:Communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, and techniciansProvide verbal and written updates regarding project progress and field conditionsMaintain organized jobsite documentation and inventory as requiredWhat You'll Bring:Required:Demonstrated competency in all Level I Technician responsibilitiesWyoming Low Voltage License (required)Experience in structured cabling installation within commercial construction environmentsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsStrong understanding of pathway construction and cable support systemsExperience with copper cable termination and testingAbility to lead small crews and manage assigned tasks independentlyStrong communication and organizational skillsPreferred:Industry certifications related to structured cabling or low-voltage systemsExperience with large-scale commercial projects, educational facilities, healthcare, or data center environmentsAdditional Requirements:Must possess and maintain the tools required for the positionReliable vehicle capable of transporting materials and ladders up to 8 feet in length between jobsitesAbility to lift, carry, and install cabling materials and equipmentAbility to work on active construction sites and in various environmental conditionsAbility to pass pre-employment background screening and drug testingWorking with our Company:Founded in 1989, National Network Services (NNS) is an industry leader in the installation and support of Structured Cabling, Physical Security, Audio Visual, and DC Power Systems.
