Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in Labor and Delivery License: Valid RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced or AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within 2 years required Must-Have: - Min 2 years RN L&D experience required - Float required based on census - Coverage every other weekend - Patient ratio 1:2 - Must be willing to float to a sister facility Description: Orientation dates are available. Candidates must have a valid RN license. ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications are required. AWHONN Advanced or AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within 2 years is required. Candidates with less than 2 years of RN Labor and Delivery experience will not be considered. Floating to a sister facility is required but occurs rarely, as it is a lower acuity campus. Experience with EPIC charting system is required. Candidates must possess skills in various areas of Labor and Delivery. Skills include administration of medications, newborn assessment, and fetal monitoring. Candidates should be familiar with high-risk deliveries and postpartum care. Unit details include a daily census of approximately 14 patients. The unit has 16 rooms and beds for patient care. Interdisciplinary support includes various medical teams for comprehensive care. Patient demographics include infants and adults. Candidates should be prepared to handle a range of diagnoses associated with labor and delivery. The unit performs special procedures such as cesarean sections and D&C. Essential equipment includes fetal monitoring systems.
